Who We Are and What We Do:
Junior Auxiliary of Saline County is a part of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries (NAJA), a non-profit organization founded in 1941. JA of Saline County was founded in 1971. We have multiple service projects throughout the year that focus on enhancing and enriching the lives of children in our community. We have fundraising projects that enable us to serve Saline County.
Becoming a Member:
Membership is open to any woman who is at least 21-years of age. Members must complete five years of charitable service while in Junior Auxiliary, with a minimum of 24 service hours per year. The Provisional period is six months, while the next five years are Active years. After fulfilling five years of service, Active members may choose to become a Life or Associate member. Being a member of JA requires a high level of commitment, dedication and above all else, a heart of service.
Active Members:
A member who has completed all requirements of the Provisional period and has been voted into membership by the board is considered an Active member. Active members are required to fulfill all obligations for five years of service. Active members are required each year to complete a minimum of 24 hours of service, complete a minimum of 12 education hours and complete a minimum of 12 finance hours. Active members have the right to vote, hold office, and are responsible for carrying out the activities of the chapter.
